How to Apply
- File an application for admissions with MSU Admissions Office before the deadlines listed below. Applications for admissions can be completed by visiting www.applytexas.org or by completing a paper application from the Admissions Office and returning it. The application will NOT be processed until the application fee has been received. A $35 application fee is required for new domestic students, $50 for international students, and $10 for returning graduate students. Application fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to another semester.
- Take the GRE/GMAT/MAT. Check with the Testing Services to schedule your exam or visit www.gre.org or www.gmat.org. Additional GRE review can be found at www.greprepinfo.com. International students must also take the TOEFL and IELTS which test proficiency of the English language. Check with the graduate coordinator of your intended major for test requirements and eligibility.
- Request official transcripts from EACH institution attended, other than MSU. Transcripts should be sent directly to the MSU Admissions Office.
- Meet with the graduate coordinator of your major for program requirements and application information for their specific program. Some departments may require a separate application for their academic program.
- If you are applying for financial aid, a FAFSA must be completed. For assistance filling out the form, visit MSU's Financial Aid Office's webpage or study the flowchart below.
